Physicians: Submit recommendations to our Provider Advisory Committee
A Physician's Concerns, Feedback and Recommendations Form has been added to the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida (BCBSF) website. The form enables participating and non-participating physicians to submit to the BCBSF Physician Advisory Committee (PAC) (see BlueLine, July/August 2008) recommendations for improving health care and clinical quality, communication and relations.
The 12-member PAC was formed last year as required under the terms of the settlement of the Love class-action lawsuit. It provides a venue through which we can discuss issues impacting the interaction between BCBSF and physicians statewide.
Physicians are encouraged to submit their questions, concerns and recommendations to the PAC through the form on our website at www.bcbsfl.com. Click on the Physicians & Providers tab. The link to the Physician's Concerns, Feedback and Recommendations Form is located on the bottom left of the screen. Please note that this form is not for handling billing disputes.
The PAC meets at least once every six months. We recommend you check the meeting schedule before submitting your information so you can track their response when the committee meets. A link to the meeting schedule is posted on the page, as are links to the member list and meeting minutes.
