Are you ready for flu season?

It's flu season again. Last season, influenza vaccination rates in Florida dropped approximately 25 percent from previous years. Please protect your patients; provide them with the flu vaccine.

Don't use our name or logo in ads without approval

Before running an ad that mentions your Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida or Health Options participation, send a draft of the ad to our Brand and Marketing Communications Management Department.

Publix changes self-administered injectables coverage

As of Oct. 1, 2003, self-administered injectable medications for Publix associates are covered under the Publix Super Markets prescription benefit administered by Advance PCS.

Office visits solely to receive a flu shot are completely covered. Do not collect a copayment.

Use online form for claim appeals

Physicians and other providers who wish to appeal a claim payment or denial are encouraged to use the Claim Appeal Form available on our website.

Access to NIA authorizations is faster

Imaging service authorizations from National Imaging Associates, Inc. (NIA) will now appear on our system with an assigned Health Options authorization number within hours.
