Time is running out! Get your NPI now!
The May 23, 2007, deadline is fast approaching. A National Provider Identifier (NPI) will be required on all claims sent on or after that date as required by federal regulation. Because it takes approximately 120 days to do the work needed to use your NPI once you obtain it, applying for your NPI now is crucial if you have not already done so.
