MyBlueService features new look and tools this year

Last year, enhancements were added to MyBlueService^SM, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida’s (BCBSF) online tool for members. MyBlueService provides secure access to member information, online provider directories, health and wellness information, and more. BCBSF has partnered with some of the best online health and wellness resources to provide members value-added interactive tools and features.

Included in the enhancements are a new look and feel to the website and new features. A shopping tool to compare prescription drug prices from selected pharmacies was implemented in December 2008. This tool helps members manage prescription drug costs by comparing prices, finding generic alternatives and refilling mail-order prescriptions online.

MyBlueService’s updated look includes easier navigation and quick links. The most recent claims for members are available at their fingertips to view details or print statements. Members can also view benefits and calculate their in- and out-of-network deductibles. Quick links help members:

• Find doctors or hospitals

• Check claims status

• Print claims statements

• Request new ID cards

• Find other health resources

As of April 2009, a new link to WebMD^® with secure, single sign-on capabilities provides members with access to health-related tools and a personal health assessment. The new capabilities replace member tools accessed through Subimo^SM, including Hospital Advisor^SM and Treatment Advisor^SM.

Members also have access to a customizable member health statement, member materials and integrated health savings account (HSA) information. Additional enhancements are planned for later this year.
