Availity offers Medicaid and TRICARE transactions
Availity1 now offers a new option for the transmission of real-time Florida Medicaid eligibility and benefits and claim status inquiries. These transactions are available at no charge to providers on the Availity® Health Information Network secure web portal.
“Until now, Availity has had to charge health care providers for optional real-time transactions with Florida Medicaid,” stated Availity CEO Julie Klapstein. “Offering this service at no charge is fulfilling a need frequently requested by our Florida customers.”
In partnership with Humana Military Healthcare Services, Inc. (Humana Military), Availity also now offers providers in Florida, Oklahoma and Texas the ability to conduct real-time TRICARE eligibility and benefits and claim status inquiries at no charge. The Humana Military partnership provides seamless information exchange and access to one of the nation’s largest health care information clearinghouses and provider web portals.
“Offering standardized, real-time information exchange with Humana Military supports Availity’s mission of reducing administrative inefficiencies, improving the patient experience, and reducing costs to both the provider and health plan communities,” said Russ Thomas, Availity’s executive vice president and chief operating officer.
